Interactive Map Visualizations for Supporting Environmental Sustainable Development Goals

Several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) United Nations have direct or indirect environmental concerns. These SDGs naturally require a greater involvement ordinary people in achieving their targets. Data visualizations general, and map particular, can play an important role assisting to better understand challenges world is facing, consequently change behaviour towards more sustainable future. In this paper we present summary overview main factors that need be considered when designing interactive support these SDGs. We also provide few examples use maps web-based information systems, decision computer games focus on issues.
